Beekeeping

Beekeeping is a very old tradition in Ukraine, and it has been the subject of several stamps. There's a reason for this. According to www.beekeeping.com, one in a thousand persons in Ukraine is a beekeeper!

The six stamps in this 2001 souvenir sheet represent:

• a bee collecting pollen
• Apiculture, the study of beekeeping
• a worker bee.
• a queen bee.
• a beehive.
• a drone bee.
