Revalued Ukrainian Stamps

Overprinting was not practiced exclusively on Soviet stamps. Although relatively uncommon, overprinting was also practiced on a small variety of Narbut and ethnographic definitives, the Composer Lysenko, and the embroidery stamp. In these instances, Ukrainian postal authorities overprinted a stamp in order to "revalue" it. They did this in order to keep up with rapidly rising inflation during the early years that immediately followed Ukraine's independence.

The Borodianka 2 Series

Lobko's Catalog says that in March 1994, Borodianka revalued a number of the Narbut definitives. They also overprinted some Soviet stamps at the same time, but I don't have any examples of those. As is often the case, there exist forgeries of these stamps as well.
