The newly independent government issued its first two stamps (dated
1991) on 01 March 1992. They were the 15 karbovanets Cossack 500th
anniversary (left) and the 15 karb. commemorative of the 100th
anniversary of the Ukrainian-Canadian migration (right). They were
printed in sheets of 36 stamps - 6 x 6. All of these early stamps
were printed by the Goznak State Printing House in Moscow.
