Postally Used Forgeries

A plot device in the 1947 movie "Miracle on 34th Street" had Kris Kringle declared to be Santa Claus because the U.S. Post Office delivered some Christmas letters to him. Perhaps the postal authorities in Crimea were in a similar holiday spirit when they allowed that the blue and yellow Ukrainian Flag affixed to this cover is really a stamp. For that matter, even the brown Narbut, which has been revalued, is bogus beyond its original face value.

Trust me, there are a lot of covers like this. Just because some postal employee cancelled a stamp, doesn't mean that the stamp is legitimate!
