Another -- and more common -- form of microprinting incorporated the designer's name "hidden" somewhere on the stamp. When imaged at normal resolutions, the name would appear as an indistinct line.

The 23 January 2005 stamp, "Maidan Nezalezhnosti (Independence Square)," perhaps better known as "Tak!" The line of microprint below (or left of it, actually) the word "Ukraine."
Bear in mind that this image is approximately four times the stamp's actual size.

At 2400 dpi (dots per inch) resolution, you can easily read the microprint, which translated says "Photo of V. Pobedynskyi, UNIAN"
