On 01 March 1992, Ukraine released its first two stamps. One was the 15 karbovanets Cossack 500th Anniversary.
On 19 August 1992, Ukraine issued this stamp, which features the Ukrainian national flag and trident emblem. Appropriately, this too is an official first day cover with a pictorial cancellation
