R. Hawley Truax
Hawley Truax was born in in Cleveland, Ohio and died November 24, 1978, in New York city. He was a lawyer, real estate executive, magazine executive, and poet. He served on the board of the New Yorker for forty-six years and eventually as chairman of the board of directors.
