Provisionals on Paper Strips
Some post office surcharges were stamped onto strips of paper, which were then affixed onto envelopes. Mint, never hinged specimens are relatively common, particularly from Kyiv.
I love to find them postally used, preferably sharing space with a contemporary regular issue stamp.
