| William Clifford Archer
William C. Archer, Arrows William Clifford Archer was born on March 30, 1876. He "was born in Noble County, where he attended country schools. At the age of eighteen he began teaching school whicle reading law. After editing newspaprs in Caldwell, Hillsboror, and Athens, he became the first Secretary of the Ohio Stte Liability Board of awards. His efforts in establishing Ohio's workmen's compensation laws led to his being named deputy commissioner of the New York Workmen's Compensation Bureau, wher he served for fifteen years. From 1929 until his death he was insurance consultant to numerous contractors. His family published privately a collection of his verse . . . ."
